The city begins getting into the festive spirit as early as the end of November. From 27 November to 30 December, the first Cagliari December will bring twelve evenings of entertainment and performances to the streets of the historic centre and shopping district.
The programme announced by the Council brings together musicals, travelling music, living statues and initiatives designed for audiences of different ages. It begins on Black Friday and reflects a stated focus on local shopping.
December at the Lirico too
Alongside the open-air events, the Teatro Lirico is preparing a programme that includes the opera Figlie di maggio — Fillas de maju, dedicated to the 1906 Cagliari uprisings, the ballet The Nutcracker and other events. Details of the individual dates and access arrangements will be provided in the programmes of the respective organisers.
