In September, books will once again travel around Cagliari. The municipal Bibliobus resumes its route through squares, parks and markets, bringing the lending service to neighbourhoods farther from the library branches. It is a small cultural service on wheels: visitors can browse the shelves, ask for advice and collect a reserved title.
The schedule continues every week from 9:00 to 13:00. On Mondays, the vehicle stops at Parco Giovanni Paolo II in Fonsarda (7, 14 and 21 September); on Tuesdays, it is in via Giotto in Mulinu Becciu (8, 15, 22 and 29); on Wednesdays, it reaches via Stoccolma in Genneruxi (9, 16 and 23). In Pirri, the appointment is on Thursday 17 September at the former Vetreria, while the market in via Quirra, in Is Mirrionis, hosts the Bibliobus on Thursday 10 and 24. Finally, on Fridays, the mobile library arrives in via Euro, in the La Palma neighbourhood (11, 18 and 25 September).
Two afternoon openings as well
At the end of the month, two special stops are scheduled from 15:00 to 19:00: Monday 28 September at Parco Giovanni Paolo II and Tuesday 29 in via Stoccolma. Anyone wishing to find a specific book on board can request it in advance by writing to bibliobus@comune.cagliari.it or calling 329 901 9746.
