Tutankhamun’s summer in Cagliari is extending into autumn. The exhibition hosted in the Covered Promenade of the Bastion of Saint Remy will remain open until Sunday 4 October 2026, following a further extension decided after the strong interest recorded in recent months. According to data released by the Municipality, visitor numbers have already exceeded 62,000.
The exhibition recreates one of the most fascinating chapters in twentieth-century archaeology: the discovery of the young pharaoh’s tomb and its extraordinary funerary treasures. The reproductions on display are certified by the Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities and allow visitors to view at close range settings and treasures that are difficult to access in their original context.
A journey through ancient Egypt
Alongside the reconstruction of the burial chamber, the visit includes information panels in Italian and English, activities designed for children and families, and a virtual reality experience. Guided tours in several languages, programmes for schools and LIS services are also available.
The exhibition is open every day from 10:00 to 20:00, with last admission at 19:00. For information, you can write to info.beniculturalicagliari@gmail.com. Any changes and access arrangements are published in the official communication from the Municipality of Cagliari.
